Kink community peer mentorship
Meet The Team
Fay (they/she)
Mentor Coordinator August 2023 - Present
Former Mentor January 2022 - August 2023
Fay has been active in their local community since 2016. They are a non binary, queer af, polyamorous creature with a knack for chaotic goodness. Upon entering the scene and experiencing the complexities of kink, play partnerships, and non-monogamy, they have truly lived within the gap of community support and accountability while also discovering their role as a top leaning switch with the heart of a submissive. Fay's support in NEMA is to provide sound support and guidance to help mitigate a lot of the mistakes and traumas that can occur within the first 6 months of getting involved in the public scene (and kink as a whole). They are often the one doing all the fun administrative work and hope to always create a safe place for those who want or need it.
Crow/PD (he/him)
Mentor October 2022 - Present
Crow is a lifestyle laze about who began interacting deliberately with the scene just under 10 years ago, and more seriously as the years go by. A lifelong New Englander, he has now returned to nest, craft leather and art, and kink once again in central/western Massachusetts with his partner. He is a lifelong advocate of sex positivity with a passion for sex education and communication in relationships, though he has no formal training outside of mediation. He devours skill building, workshops, and talks on these subjects as they relate to BDSM with zeal. Having recognized a void in communication between D types in his experience, he hopes to be the change he'd like to see in that regard, but also help those of any kink identity to form the connections, get access to the resources, and participate in the scene in a way that is less fraught with hurdles and perils. Having completed the mentorship program as a mentee, and with the encouragement of his mentor, he has decided to join and continue the work of the program that benefited him.
Kit (she/her)
Mentor November 2024 - Present
Kit (she/her) is here, queer, and ready to peer… mentor! After loosely entering the scene in 2015, she really dove in post-pandemic and found community in BDSM and rope spaces.
Habitually optimistic with a little bit of a chaos streak, you’ll definitely hear her say “it’s a good day to have a good day!” at some point. She believes there is no such thing as a stupid question and that yes, you deserve a little treat. Identifying primarily as a person to the right of the slash and a rope bottom, kit has found herself as an advocate for plus-size rope specifically and a hardcore supporter of all bodies being good bodies for rope, BDSM, kink, and everything in between.
To sum it up, Kit is a nerdy, cheerful, dedicated weirdo with a passion for fostering community and a desire to help people be proud of the best versions of themselves. She brings a little sunshine wherever she goes, but careful- she probably brings a little glitter too.
Mr. Butterscotch (he/him)
Mentor October 2022 - Present
Scotch has a passion for learning and sharing knowledge on BDSM. He danced around the edges of the kink community until 2019, when he began learning shibari, but quickly branched out to impact play and D/s. He picked up skills gradually, before discovering virtual kink education which allowed him to grow quickly while making many new friends. A self-described shy extrovert, Scotch regularly attends events of all sizes, from local munches to major kink conventions. He is actively involved in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York scenes as well as the international Leather community.
Beyond play, Scotch has learned a great deal about himself through the lens of BDSM, finding dear friends and chosen family along the way. He believes that safety and an understanding of the interpersonal aspects of kink are crucial to navigating the lifestyle. In pursuit of these goals, he helps run a Leather organization that spreads the word of informed consent and hosts virtual classes on safer kink practices. Scotch has experienced firsthand the healing, growth, and just plain fun that the lifestyle can offer and is excited to help you along your journey!
Serafina (she/her)
Former Mentor August 2023 - 2025
Former Mentor Coordinator January 2022 - August 2023
August 2018, Fina began her journey into the wonderfully weird world of kink the second she learned it existed "in real life." Sure BDSM existed, but a thriving local community full of education, events, and play? Who knew! Navigating this wondrous new world solo can be daunting to say the least. She found comfort in educating herself by going to every beginner focused class she could find. Fortunately there was so much available, she found her footing in no time. For Fina, the biggest surprise was that kink was so much more than rope, paddles, and sex. Kink lead her on a journey of self discovery with a newfound understanding of what healthy communication, consent, and intimacy really feel like. In the past few years, Fina has grown as a newbie-friendly consent and kink educator in her local community. She is passionate about helping new friends find their footing, never forgetting the teachers that helped her in her journey but also what she wished she had while navigating solo. Covid changed everything and kink was no different. All the in person classes, cons, play parties were gone leaving so many new friends without guidance. It became clear that there was a mighty need. Where can our new friends turn for advice? How can you navigate through something you have only read about? Well.. Welcome to NEMA!!
Berry (she/her)
Mentor November 2024 - Present
Berry (she/her) is a polyamorous bisexual who has been involved in kink in varying spaces since 2016. From her introduction to kink that lived securely in the bottom/sub/masochist headspace, she has, through ongoing education and skill sharing, discovered her love of many things switchy. She is fascinated by the connections made possible through all types of play. A chaos gremlin to her core, she’s passionate about writing, learning, and making others’ introduction to the community a little bit easier.
Ganks (he/they)
Mentor November 2024 - Present
Andrew (he/they) is a NEMA alum from Central Connecticut who entered the Connecticut scene in 2019. He is passionate about kink as a conduit for self expression, connection, and as a path to engaging directly with one's own inhibitions. He is primarily active in the Central Connecticut area he calls home and is a staunch believer in approaching kink through a holistic, intersectional lens. Andrew holds the position that it is the responsibility of the entire community to make sure people feel as safe and as cared for as possible - and as such, comes to the table prepared to do what he can to provide a space for people to feel heard.
Marbles Magoo (she/her)
Mentor November 2024 - Present
Marbles Magoo (she/her) is a mentor and silly goose based in Western Massachusetts, dedicated to guiding you through your journey of self-discovery and connection within the world of kink and alternative relationships. A proud practitioner of ethical non-monogamy, a switchy, pansexual plant mom, and sober, mixed-race woman with ADHD, Magoo takes a holistic, intersectional approach to intimacy that emphasizes personal growth, risk-awareness, and connection before kink.
Joining the New England kink scene in 2021 as a West Coast transplant, Magoo remembers what it’s like to feel both excited and nervous about diving into a new community. Now, as a self-proclaimed “munch slut,” “education whore,” and “community trollop,” she thrives on resource-sharing and building community. Whether through conventions, workshops, or courses, she’s always eager to support her mentees in practical, actionable ways.
As an educator and facilitator, Magoo is excited to walk alongside you (with your enthusiastic consent, of course) as you explore your desires, set healthy boundaries, and build meaningful connections. She's here to help make the process dynamic, sustainable, and—most importantly—fun!
Nikki (she/her)
Mentor January 2022 - Present
Nikki is a little ball of feisty. She is in her 3rd year of learning and exploring all aspects of her kinky sides. Nikki has explored and discovered much about her kink, queer, and polyamorous self; and as a switch, she has had the pleasure of learning from both sides of the slash. Her first dive into getting involved in communities started early in her exploration in 2018 as rope was her initial draw to the lifestyle. Wanting to be a bottom but attending unattached, she started learning ties and soon realized her enjoyment in topping. It’s a rarity to find Nikki sitting still whether she is being tied up, tying herself, or tying others she loves connecting, learning, and supporting all those around her.
Tori (she/her)
Former Mentor January 2022 - 2025
Tori found her way into the kink scene in Pennsylvania in 2015, from what started as a love of contact sports and a bedroom spanking fetish. A New England native, Tori is happy to be back in Massachusetts and involved in the CT and Mass scenes. A lifelong teacher and trainer, Tori is drawn to education and passing on excitement for new knowledge. Living up to her scene handle, she loves to play across a wide range of kinks with love of rope and power exchange running deepest. Always up for a science experiment, Tori can often be found testing out new ideas and pushing creativity. She is dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces for education and community and is excited to be a part of NEMA.
